Merry Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good night :-)
Ok well that's not a great way to start a blog entry huh?
Let's try this one..
All I want for Christmas is a Real Good Tan :-) Yes the title to my favorite Christmas song, by none other than the fabulous Kenny Chesney. I'll take him to the beach for a real good tan anytime :-)
It's cold in PA, but luckily not as cold as my last 10 winters in Toronto. I'm wonderfully happy living back home in Lancaster, (looking at self.. did I actually just say that? Holy crap someone must have kidnapped me and replaced me with a robot LOL.) When I left town 10 years ago I never thought I would come back to live. Yes, I wanted to move back to the States as the Canucks call it, but I really wanted to move to North Carolina or maybe Florida, somewhere with a good Library Sciences program and WARM!!!!
But instead, I realized I was still in love with my best friend from high school and he and I have hooked up. We're living together until our marriages are final. (With the way things are going mine is going to be over first since he hasn't filed yet ... looking pointedly at the man in question) We do plan on getting married and are thinking about starting a family of our own. He has a 3 year old daughter and another one on the way (don't ask please it's a long story).
We're moving next month to a nice little place in the country. Not far from the schools where he and I went as children. I'm unemployed right now, but working hard to find a new job. We'll be close to his parents and to my parents. I'm taking the semester off from college to concentrate on my co-op at the Quarryville Public library. I hope you'll come see me if you're in the area.
I'm crocheting again... working on an Elmo blanket for Christian who will be a year old in April. Then it's on to a Tinkerbell blanket for Alexandra and an unknown character at this time for Hunter.
Well I guess that's it from this end. Hope everyone has a very happy holiday season.
Hugs,
Dawn

Hello again

Wow, ok I know I'm horrible at posting. It's been over a year and holy crap has life changed.
I'm getting divorced, and have fallen in love with again, or actually discovered I never stopped loving my best friend in high school. We're going to get married when the time is right. He has a beautiful little girl who I have absolutely fallen in love with.
I'm living back home in Pennsylvania again and it feels wonderful. I have my support system with me again and I feel like I can accomplish anything. I'm still working on school and working full time.
I'll try to do better in posting about my progress in life.

Wow it's been awhile

Hello everyone,
Sorry it's been months since I've posted. I did well in my electronic publishing course last semester.
The White monster is still alive in the garage, but is in a million little pieces now. Dave hasn't done anything with his blog, I really must get him to start doing that. He does all his posting on the 6-pack website. The restoration has turned into a frame off restoration. We're still hoping for completion in May of 2008.

I'm in the middle of another semester of my library tech program.
Crocheting.... I'm working on a quilt when I have time. I bought the yarn for my Tweety ghan and I want to make a Thomas the tank ghan for one of my boss' little boys.
I've been reading alot lately. Recently finished the Nora Roberts book, High Noon. Nicholas Sparks, The Choice, and Catherine Coulter's Double Take. All were very good.
Getting ready to read Sandra Brown's new one as well.

Well, that's it for now. Watching Las Vegas and tomorrow is home work homework homework.

The White Monster has a blog

Well the White Monster has a blog of it's own. My husband will be updating it as time allows.
You can check it out soon at tr-ouble.blogspot.com . Now he doesn't call it the white monster, and in fact hasn't named it yet all.
So my blog is back to being about me and my studies and so on and so forth.
Watching the NASCAR Busch race right now.

I have a white monster in my garage

Well, it's finally arrived. The white British monster has taken to nesting in my garage. Dave has taken about 300 photos already of the car and every piece and part. I'm going to set up a photo blog or something for him so he can share with all his friends the on going saga of the White Monster.
Next up for us is a trip to Armagh, PA next weekend to pick up a bunch of pieces and parts. We'll be stripping the White monster down to bare bones to have it sandblasted and repainted to the original color White. The black vinyl interior will be replaced once it comes back. The dashboard needs repaired/replaced along with bunches of other pieces and parts.
I'll be sure to keep everyone updated as the restoration goes on.

Will it come tomorrow?

Well the car is sitting at the railyard in Concord, Ontario, just a stone's throw from where I work, but has it been delivered? Not yet *sigh* My husband is going bonkers, while I'm too busy at work and school to even think about going bonkers. We ordered our garden shed yesterday from http://www.northsheds.ca . We had to order one because when the car comes, it will take over the garage and all of our gardening stuff ( lawn mower, weedwhacker, shovels, rakes, etc) will have to move elsewhere.
Did I tell you about the deal? When I agreed to help my husband get the new Triumph to replace the one we had to sell to buy our first house, I made him promise to buy me a Hot Tub. So now I'm counting the months til I can save up my pennies (literally since all his extra money will be going to buy car parts) and buy my hot tub. Which one?? Well I'm not sure, I've seen some great deals at the CNE in Toronto every summer as well as The Toronto Home Show we visited just a few weeks ago.
We're expecting car parts, the shed, books (for both of us the car ones and some fun fiction for me) and the car all to be delivered in the next few weeks. The mailman is going to be busy :-).
Well, off to post my comments in Client Services and then hope I can stay up to watch the last 50 laps of the CocaCola 600.
Go Jimmie Johnson!!

Surviving The Long Weekend

Well it's Saturday and I'm in Bobcaygeon visiting the in-laws. My Mother-in-law's having fun playing Tennis and Bowling on my Nintendo Wii that I brought along for our visit. She's actually doing really well for someone who doesn't exercise much. I think she's going to be asking my Father in law for one soon. My father in law plays alot of golf and a Wii would give my mother in law something to do while he's out hitting the old white ball.
Today was my mom's 61st birthday, so I had to call her and wish her a happy day.
Tonight is the NASCAR All-Star race so I'll be watching that. If I don't get a chance to because of the tv being tied up with the Wii playing I've got the DVR taping it back at home.
If you haven't realized it yet, I'm a huge NASCAR fan, cheering every week for Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. My dream is to earn or win enough money to follow the NASCAR circuit for a year and be in victory lane when my drivers win.

Well I should be going as my I've got the client services assignment becking to me . It's a 4 page marketing plan for libraries and I haven't really begun it.
